The crowds gather
A triumphant entry
A King on a colt
Shouts of hosanna
Next day comes
tables overturned
temple in upheaval
no shouts of king now
A nervous gathering
a meal shared
the leader acts as servant
feet washed in care
Betrayed in the garden
Served with a kiss
Jesus arrested
friends no where in sight
Meetings with Herod
Caiaphas and Pilate
Barrabas freed,
Jesus sentenced
A lonely cross
Robbers either side
His friends keep vigil
As Jesus died.
